For most of us, firefighters are heroes we hope we’ll never need. For rural communities, they’re not just first responders — they’re neighbors, friends, and sometimes even family.
Our connection to fire services is deeply personal. After Dixon’s accident, it was local fire departments and first responders who rushed in to save his life. Their courage and commitment left a mark on us that will never fade.
But here’s the truth: many rural fire departments operate with limited resources. Equipment is outdated, funding is scarce, and volunteers often put their own safety on the line to protect others.
At The Castellows Foundation, we believe they shouldn’t have to do it alone. That’s why we provide gear, raise funds for critical equipment, and organize support drives to ensure our firefighters have what they need to keep our communities safe.
Because protecting the people who protect us isn’t optional — it’s essential.
